Utah Scholastic Ratings The Utah scholastic ratings system was designed to allow students to monitor their chess development, and to allow tournament directors an easy way to seed players. Tournament directors can view the ratings procedure here. The United States Chess Federation (USCF) also maintains a ratings system for USCF-rated tournaments.
