The Utah Chess Association maintains ratings for all students who play in local chess tournaments.  This is done to help tournament directors pair tournaments, and to allow students to assess their progress.

There are many active chess clubs in Utah.  Here's a partial list.

Scholastic chess in Utah only happens thanks to a lot of hard-working volunteers.  The Utah Chess Association Scholastic Committee is one of several organizations dedicated to promoting scholastic chess in Utah.  Anyone with an interest in scholastic chess can be part of this committee!  View more details about the Utah Chess Association Scholastic Committee or contact a committee member now.
