The Paritech Sector CD contains about 4,500 stocks organized into
74 industry groups. Data goes back as far as 1980. The
classifications are from the stock exchanges themselves.
Source CD Drive Letter - the drive letter of your
CD ROM. Usually "D", but can be E, F, G, etc.
Target Base Folder - the base folder for the
data. The data is placed in folders below this folder, for example,
if your base folder is "c:\metastock data", the folders would
be:
c:\metastock data\sectors\basic industries - building & related
c:\metastock data\sectors\basic industries - chemicals
c:\metastock data\sectors\basic industries - containers
etc.
Note: older versions of the Paritech CD named the main
folder "industry groups". The new CD names the main folder
"sectors".
Delete "out-of-place" securities on update
- if you select this option, any securities that aren't on the new
Paritech CD (e.g., something you added), will be deleted so the industry
group folders on your hard drive match the Paritech data CD.
